About RedCompass:
RedCompass Ltd is a high value boutique financial services consultancy. We believe in the relentless pursuit of excellence and quality across three areas of expertise which are underpinned by a range of Data Analytics tools and capabilities developed by our in-house engineering department, RedCompass Labs:
• Payments – supporting banks adapt to, manage and implement change in a fast-moving payments landscape. This includes strategic advisory, programme management, project management, change management, business analysis, system analysis, quality assurance and test.
• Financial Crime – helping banks meet complex money laundering, sanction list filtering regulations and do more good by stopping human trafficking and money laundering from drugs, organised crime and terrorism.
• Strategic Change - supporting banks and financial organisations in their efforts to establish, re-structure and re-organise in order to meet the challenges of a shifting regulatory and competitive landscape.
RedCompass is a socially responsible organisation and our CSR is working with anti-human trafficking charities to identify and prevent trafficking in conjunction with financial services. We also employ staff with disorders such as ASD and from disadvantage backgrounds.

Responsibility:
RedCompass is a consultancy orientated across payments, financial crime, core banking and strategic change services to financial service organisations. This is an exciting period for the company, as we are looking to grow further from the 65 consultants currently at the company in our London and Warsaw offices.
We believe in being world-class, not world sized, so pride ourselves on the quality of service to our clients, especially in our growing tech capability. This means we tend to be engaged in the most high-profile projects, often large and over a long period.
We are looking for a financial controller to join us to improve the control and business intelligence across financial operations but to also strengthen our function and make it as robust and effective as possible.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full responsibility for the monthly management information, ad hoc reports and analysis on company performance. You should really look to be someone who wants to continually improve the reporting and seek to extend the scale, depth and breath of how we view the business
- Manage and supervise the work of the finance function, including line management and development of expertise. This includes members who work flexibly and/or remotely
- Extend financial processes, controls and procedures. Ensure they are robust and integrate to wider company operations
- Work with senior teams to grow the business by providing real time analysis of company performance for both current and pipeline activity
- Monitor, analyse and report progress against our financial business plan. Aid in the development of future business strategy.
- Develop and maintain a financial model of the business, integrating costs, fee rates, utilisation (and many other metrics)
- Work with internal project delivery team to monitor our profitability in delivery across our projects
- Oversee our finance IT systems, working with our technology team to improve efficiency, reliability and capability
- Preparation of year end audit process and files. Be the main point of contact during any audit.
- Develop and review ongoing cashflow forecast
- Aid any due diligence on the company by ensuring appropriate information and records are held and presentable on demand
- Monitor and track our project costs
Required Skill:
Broadly, we require a Qualified accountant (ACA or CIMA) with proven experience in a finance function with a high growth, fast paced company (ideally professional services environment (though not essential)).
More specific requirements include:
- Strong knowledge and experience in the development of management information, financial analysis and forecasting
- Experience of dealing with private equity during a transaction, ideally on both buy and sell side due diligence
- An analytical and strategic mindset
- Relevant and up-to-date knowledge of international accounting standards and legal requirements of professional services firms
- Excellent organisational skills, a completer-finisher, someone who naturally brings structure and order to their working environment
- SAGE knowledge is desirable
- Good communication skills across all levels from senior stakeholders to consultants at client sites
Employment with RedCompass includes the following competitive benefits package:
- 10% of salary performance bonus
- Medical insurance (including dental) for employee and family
