This is a 14 month FTC to cover a Maternity Leave within the reporting function of a FTSE listed financial services business. This position will report to the Head of Financial Control and oversee a qualified Accountant.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing support to both the internal and external reporting functions of the business units to ensure timely and accurate consolidations. The team is also involved in a variety of ad hoc analysis and project work.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support production of monthly group consolidation file
  • Review consolidation journals
  • Review profit by clusters and other admin reports for FP&A functions
  • Review consolidated quarterly FINREP report
  • Manage the timetable for submissions of interim & year end packs
  • Take ownership of certain disclosure sections – ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
  • Support the annual audit processes including liaison with the external auditors

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) with 3-5 years PQE
  • Experience in Group consolidation functions
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Proven track record of delivering accurate and efficient reporting
  • Team Player
  • Confident individual – able to challenge financial information
