Broster Buchanan are recruiting for a Finance Analyst on behalf of our industry leading client based at the Head Office in Peterborough. First founded as a family business, this privately owned and innovative business are market leading in a very competitive sector. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, this is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring Finance Analyst, who are looking to make their next big move within the industry or an already established finance analyst keen to expand their responsibilities, develop their skills and operate within a brand that you can be an ambassador for. Within this role you can expect to be accountable for financial reporting and consolidation, providing assistance around financial input into the groups system, including contributing to further development of the system and involvement with group projects working with local and central finance teams. Key Responsibilities include:Consolidation of day to day management of consolidated Group reports, including site accounts, budgets, forecasts/business plans, weekly cashflow, monthly management accounts, key account profitability, group currency requirements, weekly flash reports and KPI'sProviding assistance around financial input into the group system and further development of the system across the GroupWork with Group Financial Controller to develop monthly board reporting in line with required output, including input into board report in timely mannerManage the Group's consolidated reporting in line with applicable accounting standardsProvide input and assistance with the statutory accounting and audit processesAssist with the implementation of the group's systemAssist where necessary in further system developmentBe aware of any opportunities for development across the Group.
The successful candidate will ideally be qualified by experience or ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualified however fully ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified is desirable. Other attributes will include;At least 2 years working within a Group finance functionUnderstanding of balance sheet reconciliations and identification of risks on the ledgerExperienced with the administration of sales and purchase ledgers and cash impact of eachCash forecasting, risk management and FMCG sector experience is advantageousComputer literate, including strong skills of Microsoft packages particularly ExcelForward thinking and of analytical mind Excellent interpersonal skillsCommercial acumen.
