Globally known manufacturing/retail company based in Leeds is looking for a fully qualified/passed finalist ACA/ACCA/CIMA Finance Manager to join their fast paced Finance function. The past 10 years have seen huge growth and as such they can offer several pathways of progression within the business. This role is ideal for a skilled accountant coming from a practice background and wanting to develop their career and managerial skills. As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of accountants and acting as the number two to the UK Finance Director.

As well as various ad-hoc finance duties, you will be responsible for:
*Investigating any group performance variances that need further exploration and explanation.
*Influencing major company decisions with monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts, reporting these to the FD and board with advice
*Helping to prepare the business plan, budgets and monthly forecasts.
*Working closely alongside the group reporting manager and work to continue to improve quality and depth of the company financial reports across groups.
*Aiding in the assessment and review of new/proposed accounting standards, processes, policies and procedures, and analysing how they will impact the group.
*Managing and mentoring more junior Accountants in your team, overseeing and helping with their development
Ideally you will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified and have experience working in the finance function of medium to large companies and come from a practice background. In this role you will have the opportunity to use your full skillset as no day will be the same. The role will have a large commercial element and you will have influence with key decision makers in the company, so experience in commercial industries is also a benefit.
