SF Recruitment is working with an SME business in Lincoln who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant. This role is a permanent role with a very competitive salary. The ideal candidate will also need to visit client premises so will need access to a car.

This role will suit a finalist or newly qualified candidate from a practiser background looking to make a move in to industry.

Main duties and responsibilities:

- Posting of month end related journals
- Analysis of accrued income
- Produce business unit P&L with full variance analysis
- Preparation of prepayments and accruals schedule
- Highlight key underperforming areas with recommendations to SMT on remedial actions required
- Reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts
- Preparation of the month end pack
- Produce and track business KPI's
- Analyse complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
- Drive efficiencies and track performance versus budget
- Assist in presentations to Board of directors and senior Management team using BI tools
- Continuous development of the budget and forecasting models
- Support Ad-hoc projects
- Cover for the Financial Controller

Person specification:

- Qualified Accountant in CIMA/ACCA preferred
- Highly skilled in the use of MS Excel
- Professional manner and a proactive and flexible approach to work
- Willing to take responsibility and ownership for tasks
- Ability to work under own initiative but also as part of a multifunctional team
- Critical thinking, inquisitive and prepared to challenge the norm
- Excellent communication skills; visual, written and verbal
- Demonstrate a proactive attitude and commitment to health and safety
