You’re a Commercial Accountant operating at the highest level. You’ve got a keen eye for scoping and costing projects and solutions, and wherever you go, you inspire and lead colleagues to make smart commercial decisions. You’re at the top of your game – but you want to push yourself further.

Provide insight that drives international projects:

Whether it’s building an embassy, or moving a government’s servers to the Cloud, we’re bidding for work with a real impact, and our costing has to be meticulous. You’ll make sure each new bid makes perfect commercial sense and accounts for every aspect of the effort involved, achieving value for money for customers and for the UK taxpayer, as well as for our business. But that’s not all: you’ll also make sure our billing and recording of costs is both consistent and constantly improving, checking meticulously for discrepancies and helping us learn from previous projects. You’ll look into everything from standard labour costs to materials, freight and life-cycle, closely working with our design teams and delivery managers to help make smart commercial decisions at every stage.

Working at government level, it goes without saying that we’re looking for people with exceptional skill, who know how to tackle cost accounting for complex organisations. You’re commercially minded; an experienced analytical brain, and you’ve got the credentials to match, with a CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualification in your back pocket. You’re more than just good on paper though: you’re also brilliant at conveying that expertise to others, making even the trickiest costing concepts easy to understand for colleagues across the business.
