Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a leading global manufacturing business in Doncaster as they look to recruit a Group Financial Accountant for their UK head office operation. Turning over approximately £500 Million, they have ambitious plans for the future and certainly an exciting time to join the firm.
The purpose of this role is to work as part of a Group Finance Team, managing the financial accounting for the Group, ensuring preparation of consolidated monthly and annual financial information; meeting all statutory reporting requirements; managing the group overheads as well as some involvement in projects and continuous improvement for group processes.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Consolidating the Group's financial results; including: Monthly actuals, Quarterly re-forecasts and Annual budgets
- Monthly Preparation of the Group Consolidated Finance Pack, including P & L, Balance Sheet and other financial reports
- Preparation of the Statutory Accounts and Annual Report
- Coordinate and manage the annual audit
- Ensure all necessary filings are made with Companies House and HMRC
- Oversee Company Treasury and various bank accounts
- Manage and collate the Group's cash forecasting and reporting
- Manage the Group operating company overheads so spend is controlled and to ensure value
- Oversee the annual Corporation Tax computations
- Develop and continuously improve business reporting
- Get involved in various projects to assist with continuous improvement
- Stakeholder management
- Any other ad-hoc duties commensurate with the role
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- ACA/ACCA qualified (At the lower salary level - part qualified will also be considered)
- Role would be ideal for a first time mover from practice looking to make their first step into industry
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience of consolidating accounts
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Able to organise and prioritise workloads
- Organised, analytical and logical; process driven
- Able to work alone or as part of a team
- Proactive and action orientated
- High level of initiative
