Project Accountant

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting an ambitious and progressive Project Accountant for a well established manufacturing business in Hull. They have multiple locations across the UK and are market leaders in their field.

This will be an integral role, key to helping developing strategy for the business and report straight into the Financial Controller. There will be the chance to get involved with a wide variety of strategic financial projects so a genuine chance to add real value to the business.

Duties will include:-

*Support the business in evaluating and measuring the impact of business initiatives
*Review financial systems and suggest improvements to increase process efficiency
*Review current staffing activities, evaluate options to maximise efficiency
*Carry out root cause analysis of process inefficiencies / cost variance and suggest corrective actions and improvements
*Support Make vs Buy decision making activity
*Partner with Project Management team to provide financial control, measure costs and benefits
*Measure and communicate savings from business initiatives
*Track and control costs associated with business initiatives
*Work with business to ensure that Projects are delivered in line with agreed timescales
*Lead other projects as directed by the Financial Controller
*Any other ad hoc duties as required by the Financial Controller

Elevation Accountancy & Finance would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:

*Proven ability and background in financial and management accounting combined with a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
*Proven experience in system/ process improvements
*Good project management skills and an ability to generate new ideas and innovative
*Ability to manage, coach and develop people
*Ability to work with cross functional teams
*Ability to work to tight deadlines
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills
