Management Accountant

Specialist North London construction group based in New Southgate urgently require an experienced and versatile Bookkeeper/Management Accountant to work as part of a small team . This is a very hands on role reporting to the FD and duties will include .:

• Managing the purchase order system
• Entering supplier invoices
• Entering petty cash invoices
• SOPs ensure everything is invoiced
• Making payments
• Paying salaries
• Preparing Cash flows
• P&L reports
• Analysing expenditure
• Posting Wage roll journals
• Bank reconciliations
• Payment of Sub-contractors
• Preparing CIS figures for monthly submission
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns
• Assisting with Software Installations
• Company checks
• Stock Control
• Product Costing for Sales purposes
• Factory Costing for Sales purposes
• Project Costing
• Check purchases against orders (Bills of Quantity)
• Check Commission and Bonuses payments monthly

Skills required :

• Knowledge of CIS procedures and subcontractor payments essential
• At least 5 years Management/Financial accounting experience gained within a small company
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Strong IT skills with excellent knowledge of sage line 50 accounts software ,
• Advanced Excel & Data management experience
• Knowledge of the construction /manufacturing industry and EQ2 software would be an advantage
