An established SME with a strong position in their international marketplace, built upon the ambition and entrepreneurial drive of the Managing Director and the consistent demand for the product that they develop and manufacture. We are working with them exclusively to recruit a strong Financial Controller to join the business and take full stewardship for the finance strategy

Established for over 50 years, with their UK and international operations headquartered in Leeds, the business has a turnover of £15m

About this job opportunity;

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Financial Controller is the second most senior role in the company and the number one in finance,  with responsibility for;

  • Overseeing a small accounts department in ensuring full financial controls exist for all aspects of reporting, working capital management and support to operations
  • Producing monthly management accounts, regular ad hoc requests for information and presenting to the board
  • Interface with the bank and the auditors
  • Company secretarial responsibilities
  • Leading all aspects of HR leadership across the company
  • Overseeing the IT infrastructure to ensure the support functions in the business are adequately supported and recorded

About the candidate;

  • Ideally suited to an individual who has previously held a number one in finance role within an SME
  • Must be a qualified accountant
  • Strong excel and systems skills
  • Confident, assertive and diplomatic
  • Commercial and results orientated


About the package;

Basic salary in the region of £60,000 with other benefits to fit the right candidate
