If so, we have an exciting opportunity to present to you. My client, a successful and growing specialist SME manufacturer, has approached Howarth Morris to assist in the recruitment of a Financial Controller. Already an £5m turnover business, my client is expected to grow significantly over the next few years as they expand their overseas operation. As a result of this continued performance, the Board are seeking to appoint a competent Financial Controller to manage the monthly accounts for 3 offices - 1 UK and 2 overseas. The Financial Controller will report to the US parent company, and support the Board through the continued development of KPI reporting.

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, and based in West Manchester, the successful candidate will have supervisory responsibility for an Accounts Assistant. You will become part of a small and dedicated UK team. 'Softer' skills are key to this role and it is imperative that you are able to engage and build rapport at all levels. You will have the ability to self-manage, and be professional and pro-active in your approach. A 'hands on' remit, you will take full responsibility for the day to day running of the Finance department, whilst providing key support to the Board.

My client is keen to appoint a candidate who can hit the ground running. Candidates with manufacturing experience are of particular interest, as there will be a lot of work with stock and bill of materials. In addition to monthly management accounts, your role will also cover multi-currency, reconciliation of Ledgers and bank accounts, VAT returns, and cash flow forecasting. MS Excel experience is key and any knowledge of Sage 200 would be advantageous.
