Hamilton Woods Associates are working exclusively with a fast-paced acquisitive international manufacturing business, looking to appoint this newly created Group Financial Accountant role for a technically astute accountant who has a thorough understanding of financial reporting.  

A perfect opportunity for an ACA currently in practice, looking to make that all important first move into commerce and industry.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE GROUP FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT:

• Involved in the constant update and improvement of processes and controls
• Reviewing of P&L's with management for the various business units
• Supporting on Year end closure of accounts and supporting the Group FC on improving reporting and business partnering across the business
• Integrating newly purchased business into the organisations accounting processes and systems
• Completion of P&L and balance sheet reconciliations for the group and on-going new acquisition to tight monthly deadlines

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• A university graduate, ACA qualified ideally from a Big 6, Top 10 or 20 practice firm
• Proven experience in the preparation of statutory account, ideally with 2 years post qualified experience
• IT literate with strong working knowledge of MS Excel, well organised and strong ability to prioritise work load
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to manage internal relationships
• Ability to think strategically, anticipate future trends, assess risk and implement controls and processes across an acquisitive group 

PACKAGE:

• Basic - £37,000 - £45,000
• 10% Bonus
• 5% matched pension
