Our client is one of the most exciting and innovative charities in the UK. The Charity is a leading funder of cancer research in the region and has a track record of supporting ground-breaking projects and clinical trials to help prevent cancer and increase survival.

Their goal is that by 2025, at least 2,000 more people in our region survive cancer every year.

They are now seeking a Research Finance Officer to join our team in Harrogate.

The Role

As the Research Finance Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing awarded funding for our research and services portfolio.

Reporting to the Research Funding Manager, with a dotted line into the Finance team, you will manage the financial admin and accounting activities of our research grant awards.

Your role will involve:

- Monitoring expenditure against award budgets
- Working closely with grant holders and university finance offices
- Processing award invoices
- Participating in the planning and preparation of award budgets
- Providing accurate and timely financial information for reporting purposes
- Supporting auditing activities

About You

Interested? To join our client as a Research Finance Officer, you will need:

- To have a part ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
- Previous experience of accounting processes and procedures
- Excellent organisation skills
- The ability the work on your own initiative

Experience of operating an award management system is desirable.

This is a full time role working 37 hours per week.
