Opportunity
Our client, a leading international manufacturing business with an impressive reputation is seeking to appoint a Finance Manager to look after their Order to Cash processes and to review key processes and controls across the commercial finance function. Managing the customer relations function from a finance perspective and also acting as a business partner, this individual will ensure relationships and standards are maintained and provide support to the senior finance team.
Key areas of responsibility to include:
- Financial process ownership of the order to cash process
- Review and implementation of processes and controls
- Responsible for ensuring recoverability of debt, risk management and cash flow optimisation
- Supporting the AR, pricing, working capital and customer administration functions, including overseeing query resolutions
- Supporting and providing direction to the pricing function and understanding complex customer rebate terms
- Developing and motivating a team
- Providing in depth analysis by customer
- Supporting the Financial Controller with the month end close, budgeting and forecasting
- Ad hoc project work and analysis
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience managing a team and overseeing transactional finance, pricing or order to cash functions
- A solid understanding of how a commercial business runs and the impact of the finance function
- Outstanding communication skills, including the proven ability to develop a team and build internal relationships and external customer relationships
- A real passion for process improvements and advancing processes and controls
- Experience of an ERP system such as SAP or Oracle
- A recognised finance qualification would be advantageous but candidate’s qualified by experience will also be considered
