An excellent opportunity has arisen for a knowledgeable and professional Assistant Management Accountant to join a successful organisation based in the Barnsley area as they look to appoint a Part Qualified Assistant Management Accountant to join their team on a full time, permanent basis!

Key responsibilities will include the delivery of monthly management accounts with supporting commentary and analysis, working closely with departmental heads and the finance team.

Further duties of the Assistant Management Accountant will include:

*Creation of monthly management accounts
*Prepare statutory annual accounts and supporting schedules and liaise with auditors
*Balance sheet reconciliations
*Quarterly VAT returns
*Maintain and update the fixed asset systems
*Budgeting & forecasting
*Ad hoc project work
*Leadership and support to the management accounts team
*Line management responsibilities; appraisals, objectives, reviews, development and monitoring

Experience/skills required:

*MUST BE AAT Qualified and/or studying towards CIMA/ACCA
*Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience (management accounts preparation)
*Skilled user of accounting software & Microsoft Excel (pivot tables/v look ups)
*Ability to supervise, motivate and develop team members
*Excellent communication skills & ability to liaise with individuals at all levels
