Interim Finance Director

An interim Finance Director is required for a fast-growing business within the tech industry. The Finance Director will fill a maternity cover of 9-12months. A restructure in the finance team is taking place and the support of a highly organized, commercially driven Finance Director is needed to take on the responsibility of this project and the core finance team. The Finance Director will report directly into the CEO of the business and will be supporting the CEO and the board of directors in commercially driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Full oversight of finance function including company strategy and business planning
• Responsible for the finance function including financial planning, statutory reporting and treasury management
• Strategic involvement with the board including providing support around reporting, structuring, and commercial negotiations.
• Work closely with Operations to review the underlying processes, make recommendations and implement efficiencies
• Manage relationship with banks and any other key financial stakeholders and regulatory bodies
• Working closely with the wider business to ensure finance is seen as a truly commercial function bringing value to the business
• Manage a range of commercially focused transformation projects

Desired Skills and Experience: 

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
• Technology sector background preferred but not essential
• Board level experience ideally encompassing a ‘wider than finance’ remit
• Working with demanding stakeholders including external investors
• Must have a strong interim pedigree
