However, Poultry is the core business and biggest division with a 1.3 billion turnover. In the growing UK Poultry sector, 2 Sisters are market leaders. The UK Poultry Business is undergoing significant transformation and change. A group-wide programme of activity centered around the UK Poultry division is underway which includes transformation of ERP systems, sales & operational planning, factory footprint and support functions. This role will play a significant part in the transformation programme, supporting all areas influencing financial control. Job Description

This is a high profile Divisional Financial Controller opportunity based in Wakefield, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller and with a dotted line to the UK Poultry Finance Director. The role requires a talented and experienced Controller, with the capability to build a high performing team, drive the financial control agenda and uphold controls across 12 sites in a very complex and fast paced business.

Managing the divisional Financial Accounting Team, you will own monthly divisional reporting into Group. You will provide control and stewardship over all of the division's balance sheets and provide associated guidance to Site Financial Controllers.

You will lead the team by engaging and inspiring, setting standards and providing direction, coaching and developing colleagues to build a high performing team.

You will be the lead contact for divisional external and internal audits and will ensure there is robust governance and internal financial control with adherence to group policies and a clear audit report.

Your team will produce trusted, reliable and insightful financial reports so that the business partnering teams can facilitate profit improvement plans with senior management.

You will play a critical role in driving improvements in processes and controls by way of both the Finance Functional Improvement Programme and the Group-wide Transformation Programme.

The Successful Applicant

For this high profile Divisional Financial Controller in Wakefield (West Yorkshire), you will be part of the senior finance team for this £1.3billion turnover division and successful candidates will have/be:

A qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA, CIMA) with significant post qualification experience and a good knowledge of IFRS

A breadth of finance experience, with a focus on financial control and reporting

Operational experience and (food) manufacturing industry experience will be considered advantageous

Prior experience in another large and complex group operating at pace

Highly computer literate and adept at operating with multiple systems - SAP, Navision, EB2, BPC

Experience in a leadership role and driving a high performance culture

Successful candidates must have a passion for driving change and a track record for delivering transformational business improvements

Preferred candidate will be ambitious and with a track record of upward progression
