Resourcery Group are supporting a global manufacturing business based in Liverpool to recruit a strong stakeholder manager to influence non-finance, operational managers across a manufacturing cost centre.

The role is effectively am Operational Finance Business Partner providing advice, analysis and insight driving enhanced decision-making and effectively controlling costs. A global business with strong brand presence across Europe, our client is a specialist manufacturer in the UK whose products are true market leaders in their respective fields. This is the chance to join a truly global brand with a strong local identity. Part of a multi-billion t/o Group with in excess of 100,000 employees, the Merseyside plant is key manufacturing hub in Northern Europe.

As Operational Finance Business Partner (internal role title different) you will be responsible for providing support to a Senior Controller providing insight, analysis and advice to non-finance stakeholders. Being a manufacturing site, cost control is essential. The role requires a strong analytically minded person, capable of influencing those outside finance, to drive operational cost improvement. You will support the Senior Controller during the planning cycle - budget, rolling forecasts, period end close, analysis, cost prices etc.

As Operational Finance Business Partner you will need to be a strong analyst that can understand cost prices - someone who understands production volumes and material costs that lie behind them. You will be responsible for monthly cost centre reviews with departmental managers and thus my client needs an Operational Finance Business Partner who can better understand production volumes and impact on Cost of Production - materials usage, labour utilisation, wastage etc. Reviewing and developing KPIs, driving performance enhancement, analysis of budget versus operating performance, scenario planning, NPV and payback calculations are all responsibilities under the role.
