Head of Finance

Our client is a £20m turnover Greater Manchester based FMCG business.  They have recently appointed a new Managing Director and now require a driven finance leader to support a series of strategic initiatives that will drive operational and commercial improvements across the company.

The position has full responsibility for overall financial management of the business and the finance team of 5. The initial focus of the role will be to drive forward improvements in management information and cash flow reporting, as well as deliver more timely accounts production. 

Thereafter, it will have significant operational involvement working alongside the MD to look into geographical footprint, operating costs and initiatives that will deliver business growth. 

This is a high profile role and the successful candidate will need to possess a track record of clear leadership and board level capability.

Applicants must be qualified and have a demonstrable track record working with operational teams in ideally a production or distribution environment. More important though, is proven experience of managing businesses through organisational change, combined with a hands on structured approach to finance, based on robust controls and commercial reality.
