Michael Page Treasury are recruiting a Treasury Financial Reporting Manager to join a leading distribution business. This role will be based at their offices in the West Midlands.

Client Details

The Treasury Financial Reporting Manager will ensure that all statutory, regulatory and accounting relating to the Treasury function is delivered within the required deadlines and that a robust control environment is maintained to ensure the reporting is accurate.

This organisation has approximately £6bn of debt raised to fund its investment in its pipeline infrastructure. Treasury and effective debt management is an integral part of the company's operation and high profile within the organisation. This reporting role is high profile given the importance of treasury reporting to its stakeholders.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Treasury Financial Reporting Manager include:

  • Provision of a comprehensive Treasury Reporting service. This includes delivery of internal and external reporting in respect of treasury function in the statutory accounts, regulatory accounts and other external outputs. Responsibility for timely commentary and analysis of the specific aspects of the Treasury portfolio and responsibility for input into the any monthly Finance reporting to Exec & Board and issued to senior management within Finance, Tax & Treasury.
  • Maintain a close relationship with Treasury front end operations and Treasury back office through regular meetings understanding the activity and liaising on treasury related initiatives, including advising on implications on reporting and disclosures as required under GAAP.
  • Perform a strategic review of the functionality of the Reval system and consider whether fit for purpose.
  • Redesign of treasury reporting processes inherited with a focus on efficient and effective processes with minimal manual intervention.
  • Provide technical financial accounting advice and guidance for Treasury. Maintain accounting policies and manuals and provide expert treasury accounting advice to ensure compliance and maximum value.
  • Monthly update the debt covenants for treasury reporting data and commentaries.
  • Support treasury analysis for Tax Dept., for inclusion in the annual company tax returns submitted to HMRC.
  • Proactively contribute to the development of a highly motivated, innovative and customer focused Finance team.
  • As appropriate, support the delivery of change across Finance and the business, embracing new ways of working and owning delivery of key outcomes to drive the improvement of long-term business capability.
  • Assist the high-quality documenting of end-to-end processes and controls to meet
  • Regulatory compliance requirements. Ensure that governance and internal financial control over processes are robust and comply with frameworks.
  • Build own knowledge of Treasury and RIIO and its impact on the industry and the business in order to support key decisions and advise and guide own business area.

Profile

To be considered for the Treasury Financial Reporting Manager position you require:

  • A full qualified accountant or equivalent (e. ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Prior exposure to Treasury Reporting and/or Treasury Operations
  • Prior exposure to Treasury Systems (Reval) and/or accounting system (SAP)
  • Transaction and close process management
  • Reporting financial information
  • Motivating and leading others
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills
  • Detailed treasury technical accounting understanding
  • Governance, risk and internal control frameworks.

Job Offer

The package on offer is £60,000- £67,000 plus benefits.
