Large, highly professional and longstanding group based in Chesterfield have a newly created opportunity for a confident and experienced Management Accountant.

You will enjoy working in a modern, open plan working environment within a business that has a reputation for rewarding its people and excellent staff retention. 

You will focus on management accounts production and financial analysis / reporting for a key divisional area within the group.

You will enjoy a high degree of autonomy coupled with excellent support from an approachable senior FC.

The role provides plenty of variety and a refreshing mix of project involvement / continuous improvement work (P&L and balance sheet areas) alongside the routine monthly accounting / business as usual.

You will enjoy feeling part of a collaborative and welcoming team and enjoy have the right degree of autonomy to manage your own time and workload as you see fit.

The role:

·         Management accounts preparation including variance analysis and commentary / discussion.

·         P&L analysis and review – exploring trends and providing insightful analysis and MI.

·         Diving into costs and understanding areas of overspend.

·         Trend analysis and reporting.

·         Balance sheet reconciliation.

·         Ad hoc analysis (sales / margin / revenue streams etc).

You will be:

·         A confident management accountant with a track record of success in a busy role (either within a large group or a fast paced SME)

·         Able to work to your own deadlines.
