Take accountability for the finance decision support on payroll for our stores, making sure these costs are well managed and delivered as planned. It's a big job, the business have a large number of stores and continuing to expand

Description

  • provide analysis and insight the businesses largest operational cost, payroll
  • use financial information available on store payroll costs, including to analyse the performance against our operating model expectations
  • identify opportunities to improve our payroll processes and reduce costs
  • work closely with the operating model and the central payroll teams to make sure we're being as efficient as possible and make recommendations for improvement
  • influence and build relationships up to senior management level
  • be involved in shaping the future operating model, working closely with the retail transformation programmes on any initiatives that will impact how we serve customers in our stores
  • Profile

  • an accountancy qualification
  • experience working in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • excellent relationship and engagement skills, able to challenge and influence a variety of partners across all levels of the business
  • advanced Excel skills, able to analyse data, provide insight and build financial models
  • experience working in retail, although this isn't essential
