Assistant Commercial Finance Manager

A well-regarded Financial Services institution is looking for an Assistant Commercial Finance Manager to join their Leeds based team on a permanent, full time basis.

Role Description

As the Assistant Finance Manager, you will take a key role in the planning and forecasting process, as well as conducting commercial assessments. You will also be involved in stress testing and complex modelling and commercial projects.

Other Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with the Insurance Business and other areas of the business to enable the build of challenging and credible plans

• Modelling income assumptions and scenarios

• Producing standard and ad hoc reports and analysis for review by the business/ divisional stakeholders

• Driving continuous improvement and simplification of the operating plan and forecast processes, whilst ensuring control and governance is maintained

• Producing schedules as required for Group and Insurance & Wealth Executive Committees and board purposes

Candidate Profile

The ideal Assistant Commercial Finance Manager will have:

• A professional finance qualification – recently / newly qualified accountant
• Some experience in financial reporting and modelling
• The ability to analyse complex information and present it concisely in both written and verbal format
• Experience in Audit / TS or from an analysis focused role in industry
• Strong technical ability
• Excellent relationship building and management skills
• Demonstrable experience of business partnering in and outside Finance
