Partner Financial are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller for a large organisation. The business is a genuine leader with their sector and has a strong international brand name. They are aligned with several high-growth markets and offer a range of truly innovative services used by a diverse range of end customers.

Reporting into the Divisional Finance Director the successful candidate will help to design and deliver a group-wide controls framework and form an essential part of the group finance team.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Designing and implementing a robust financial controls framework across a large matrix organisation, working closely with Big 4 advisors
  • Documenting process flows and ensuring that controls are in place to mitigate risk
  • Challenge and drive the Controls Framework forwards, expanding it to include key non-financial risks across the Group
  • Working with stakeholders including: Operations, Finance, HR and IT, reviewing risks and controls and identifying gaps and opportunities
  • Ownership of Group wide policies and procedures, driving consistency across Brands and Group
  • Producing reports and summaries to engage and update key stakeholders including Group Financial Controller and CFO
  • Working with Internal Audit and external auditors to ensure the controls framework meets the needs of the business and ensures an efficient external audit process

Key Experience:

  • A Big 4 qualified accountant / auditor with demonstrable post-qualified experience gained within a large company environment
  • Experience of the review and design of internal controls in a global organisation – this would suit an individual who has previously worked in an internal or external audit or risk management function
  • Experience testing, designing and implementing internal controls ideally in a FTSE 100 or equivalent sized global organisation
  • Experience of successfully implementing initiatives to drive operational excellence
  • Proven track record of delivering long term operational change initiatives
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
