Purchase Ledger Assistant

Based in Tring, Hertfordshire, our client is an award-winning SME company looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the business as an Purchase Ledger Assistant on a permanent basis.

This job would suit somebody who has previous experience in an Accounts Payable role and would like to work within a growing company. They must be a self-starter who can prioritise their workload and enjoys a challenge.

This 40 million turnover FMCG business has been growing massively since the business started and now have various sites across the northern home countries. The successful candidate will be able to take risks in a controlled manner and be able to embrace change.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a Purchase Ledger role or similar, have great attention to detail and fantastic communication skills.

Duties will include:

  • Processing a high volume of invoices in the accounts system
  • Issuing invoices for approval
  • Maintaining the approval process
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Processing payments for suppliers and allocating payments
  • Responsible for petty cash
  • Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc duties
