A leading, forward moving and growth focused firm of chartered accountants based in Taunton is searching for a Mixed Tax Director to join their team to lead and develop the firms successful tax department. You will have genuine potential to progress within an influential role, delivering wide ranging mixed tax advise, with a personal tax focus to HNWIs, directors and wide ranging businesses. You will grow and develop the firms tax service line.

Client Details

Based in Taunton, this accountancy practice is a leading and growth focused chartered firm of accountants dealing with wide ranging businesses, perhaps with a core turnover range between £2 - £6million turnover range SMEs/OMBs and growing businesses focusing with clients looking to grow and wanting to be business partners and advise around wider ranging business planning and growth strategies. Whilst compliance is a key offering the firm has a focus on delivering much wider services to their clients around this, focusing on wider advisory and business advice. The firm acts for wide ranging individuals, HMWIs, directors and other clients on the personal tax side. The practice also has a decent number of the higher level team holding CTA, with a focus on tax planning and advisory work. The directors are looking to grow and develop the tax department further and the right individual will play a key role in helping the firm develop its tax offering and service line.

Description

Joining as Tax Director based in the firms Taunton offices, you will focus on delivering wide ranging tax advice to the firms clients, with a focus and lean on the personal tax side across capital taxes and IHT etc. Alongside this there will be also be significant involvement in corporate tax related work as well with the potential for involvement in mergers, sales and acquisitions tax advice, company reorganisations (purchase of own shares, share exchange, demergers etc.) and related clearance applications as some examples. Typically you will be advising directors and HNWIs on the personal tax side on wide ranging IHT, CGT, trusts, wills and property related tax advice, SDLT implications and other complex , private client tax advice. You will look to grow and develop the firms tax department managing and developing a team of ATT/CTA studiers and qualified staff. There will be a clear progression path on offer as well for the right individual seeking a route to carve a career path and progress in their tax career.

Profile

You will be any of ACA/ACCA/ATT/CTA qualified with a career background in advisory/planning tax gained within an accounting firm, or tax boutique firm of any size. You may have a personal tax advisory focused background in your career, or equally have focused in corporate tax advice, or bring a mixed tax career across both personal and corporate tax advice. You will have developed your career to at least Senior Manager levels, or already operating as a Tax Director, Associate Director or Tax Partner Designate. You will be looking for the right career move where you can lead and develop a growing tax team and department with a clear path to progress, along with looking to focus on advisory project work and deliver solutions to clients.

Job Offer
