Designate Finance Director

Highly ambitious and innovative owner-led SME (circa £20m turnover) that has experienced double digit growth and completed recent acquisition have an incredible opportunity for a designate FD. 

The modern-thinking owners are seeking an aspirational character with drive and career ambition  You will ideally be operating at Financial Controller / Head of Finance level and be looking to join an agile SME that can springboard you into an equity FD position.  

The career and earning potential here for the right candidate has the potential to be lifechanging – it is a bona fide route to equity FD.

You must be hands on in your approach. You will manage a lean and busy finance team and be the primary finance contact for the business.

You will be a sounding board to the directors and have input into the strategy and ongoing decision making.

• You must have a track record of proactively driving improvement and making positive change.
• You will be completely comfortable with the ‘bread and butter’: Delivering reliable management accounts, managing cash, developing your team.
• You will be equally comfortable with making positive change:
• Getting a handle on procurement and purchasing functions, developing more meaningful commercial reporting and MI (alongside the standard P&L / BS), competitor analysis, acquisition targeting and DD.
