Ambitious and rapidly growing Public Practice is currently recruiting a Senior Accountant to expand their existing team. The firm comprises of over 40 business professionals delivering audit, tax compliance and advisory, book-keeping, accounting, payroll, company secretarial, wealth management and other administrative services to our clients. They leverage technology in everything they do.
Their method of working is to collaborate fully with the client throughout the engagement so that we deliver to client needs and ensure full compliance with accounting and tax rules that are applicable. They go beyond full compliance always looking to add value to our clients through a full suite of advisory services.

Senior Accountant role
If you have a passion for business and want to be part of a fast growing company, then you are in the right place. You will be exposed to all aspects of accounting and tax work from day one, with responsibility ranging from the preparation of management accounts for large clients, managing end to end accounting and tax filings for limited companies across sectors, audit and advisory. All times having a focus on driving value to the services provided. Within a short amount of time, you will be managing your own client portfolio, engaging with clients and directors to drive the business forward.
Knowledge/Skills - Senior Accountant
·The perfect candidate will be ACA or ACCA fully qualified or finalist accountant with a minimum of 2 years’ experience at the senior level
·Experienced in end to end accounting and preparation of tax computations (Corporate, Individual, VAT)
·Ability to review draft sets of financial statements and working papers and to put forward final questions to the client to complete
·Awareness and some experience in other tax areas - Capital Gains and Inheritance
·Confidence in being in front of clients and partners
·Experience in Xero Cloud or other similar accounting systems and practice management software such as IRIS
·Deliver to the client service level agreements and gain a high client satisfaction score
·Adhere to the firm’s client charter and client care policy
·Update senior managers promptly on progress of work undertaken for their client portfolios
·File clients annual returns (Tax and companies house) in accordance with agreed timelines & update the firm’s systems to record when the return was filed
