I am currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a very impressive and exciting business in Ellesmere Port. You will provide full accounts production and support to the Head of Finance in a busy, pacey and varied role.



Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To manage the finance team, forward plan and organise rota's and finance tasks to achieve the daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
  • Prepare and complete monthly management accounts which includes P&L for each site and balance sheet for each legal entity by working day 2
  • Compile and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner, clearly communicating critical points
  • Manage and maintain robust financial management and reporting systems seeking efficient ways of reporting and collating information from sites
  • Management of daily bank reconciliations and daily sales reconciliations and all monetary transactions including safety and security of cash
  • Management of purchase and sales ledgers
  • Responsible for overseeing monthly payrolls including payments to HMRC and year end processing
  • To use the EPOS system to ensure online ticketing, promotions and price changes are implemented in accordance with deadlines
  • Assisting in the annual budgeting and planning process adhering to deadlines for submission
  • To lead by example and with a hands on approach continually seeking to develop own skills and eagerness to participate in the wider business activities and to strive to run the day to day operations of the head office finance team efficiently to provide each of the sites with the very best support
  • From time to time the company or The Head of Finance may make reasonable requests for you to undertake duties not necessarily covered in the above



Qualifications & Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA Part-qualified/studying/qualified
  • Demonstrate positive, outgoing and friendly attitude and be a good team player
  • Ability to take ownership and show initiative
  • Effective communication capabilities demonstrating sound judgement
  • Strong personal integrity with an innate desire to work in an ethical manner
  • Detail oriented, strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and handle different priorities across multiple areas
  • Desire to continually learn and develop own skills
  • Enjoy working in a business to consumer environment
