Financial Controller

My Client, a well-established Manufacturing SME based in Trafford Park is seeking an experienced and confident Financial Controller who will take full responsibility and control over the entire finance function of the business.

Reporting into the MD and the off-site corporate CFO, you will be responsible for the production of full monthly Management Account packs whilst managing a dedicated team of 3.

The successful candidate will be a key part of the SMT and will be involved at a strategic level, presenting at Group meetings.

• Manage all financial operations of the company
• Ensure the nominal ledger is accurate
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
• Prepare year-end accounts and audit pack.
• Ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory issues.
• Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and forecasts.
• Prepare annual budgets
• Continuous monitoring and auditing of sales prices and margins, both quoted and actual.
• Take control of stock management, recording and reporting.
• Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
• Support sales team with volume/selling price scenario analyses
• Work closely with Sales and Operations Teams on inventory management and planning
• Be the main point of contact to external auditors and provide all required information.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts on a monthly basis.

Experience within the Manufacturing sector is desirable but not essential.

You will ideally be qualified in CIMA/ACCA/ACA, have extensive experience at this level, strong excel skills and experience on ERP systems.
