Part-time Bookkeeper

Based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, we are currently recruiting for a part-time Bookkeeper to join a reputable accountancy firm on a permanent basis.

The successful individual will preferably have some knowledge within bookkeeping and Accounts and will have ideally already worked in an accountancy practice.

This job would suit an experienced bookkeeper who is looking for a part-time opportunity within a lovely accountancy practice. You will ideally have some experience in a practice environment and be looking for a fresh challenge. They are looking for an articulate and enthusiastic individual to join their team. The candidate will be responsible for many key clients, so an excellent telephone manner is essential.

Job responsibilities:

• VAT Return preparation and submission
• Assisting with Payroll
• Ad hoc administrative duties
• Accounts preparation to trial balance including bank, suppliers, customers and ledger reconciliation
• Process sales invoices, receipts, and payments
• Dealing with clients via telephone, email and post
