Howarth Morris are pleased to be recruiting for a well established company based in South Liverpool for a Temporary to Permanent Accounts Assistant. Working alongside the Accounts Supervisor within a medium sized, well established and friendly team you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the ledger accounts operation ensuring work is completed on time and to the highest quality.
Duties of the role will include:
Bank reconciliation
Processing payments
Posting daily cash receipts from bank statements and bank reconciliations
Checking invoices received, before passing through to invoice clerks for processing
Dealing with queries for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and reconciling statements
Maintaining petty cash and reconciling at month end
Creating various Excel reports for management and customers
Assisting with month end accounts
Ideally my client is seeking a determined individual who is studying towards AAT or equivalent, however is willing to consider applicants with a proven track record of completing the listed duties. Applicants must be able to work independently as well as part of a small team and have excellent organisational skills. The successful applicant will also have previous experience of using Sage accountancy software, ideally Sage 200, and will possess strong communication skills as you will liaise with internal and external contacts on a regular basis.
