Financial Controller - Part Time

A rare and exciting opportunity to join a creative, dynamic and welcoming medium sized international retail business as a Financial Controller on a part time basis - (2-4 days per week)

The Financial Controller plays a vital role to the analysis of sales, building financial models and improve systems and processes and will have both the technical skills and commercial attitude to manage this varied role.

You will Business Partner with heads of stores, commercial stakeholders and the parent company, along with working closely with the Finance Director and CEO.

This role requires someone with strong stakeholder management, broad skill set with a hands-on and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage the end to end forecasting and budgeting process for the sales and gross contribution
• Ensure a transparent forecast is delivered.
• Ownership of the budget cycle for the business and working closely with the Finance Director and commercial stakeholders
• Take responsibility in improving processes and develop a streamline function
• Creation of robust financial models and efficient spreadsheets
• Business/pricing support on commercial sales and provide analysis on current sales
• Ownership of the cashflow for the business
• Analysis on sales orders
• Manage and mentor junior members of staff in the finance team (up to 4)
• Various ad-hoc analysis and projects for the parent company

Essential skills:

Fully qualified accountant with significant PQE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

Excellent knowledge of excel - modelling, formulas and pivot tables

Strong management skills

Calm approach with the ability to achieve results
