Jennings Morton Friel Associates are working with a well known and established construction company based in Surrey who is looking for an ACA/CIMA/ACCA Part Qualified or Newly Qualified Finance Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

Reporting into the Group FD and managing 7 members of staff.  Providing a vital link between the team and the senior management.

The role will involve the following activities Month end close process. Ensuring that best practice and fundamental accounting principles are followed and review balance sheet reconciliations and to be responsible for preparing and providing guidance on: Fixed Assets, Leases, Payroll, PAYE & NI and VAT. Financial administration and preparing monthly company MI and monitor performance against budget.

To liaise with internal and external maintenance providers to ensure timely, accurate and complete information is reflected in the accounts and senior management to ensure the continuous improvement of MI to enable effective decision making. Working closely with the FD to roll out budgeting process, forecasting, and departmental reporting and improve controls and processes.

The vacancy would suit a Part or Qualified Finance Manager with at least 5 years experience working within a commercial organisation and the ability to have strong people management skills are essential. You will need to be very well organized, good time management skills with the commitment to delivery on deadlines. This position will suit a confident self starter with sound analytical skills, able to operate under pressure and resolve conflicts.
