Interim Senior Accounting Manager

Handle are currently working with an instantly recognisable, blue chip entertainment business who are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to join their busy team on an interim basis. This is a very broad role which has a healthy mix of reporting, technical accounting and planning. SAP is widely used throughout the business and it is essential that this person has strong knowledge of this system.

Key responsibilities include

• Monthly analysis of overhead costs and preparation of variance reports
• Take ownership of all Head Office overhead actuals
• Prepare monthly overhead forecasts with detailed analysis vs budget/quarterly forecast
• Assist with project accounting for IT budgets
• Work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure that the month end close and reporting packs are produced, timely and accurately
• Prepare month end reconciliations of accruals, prepayments, recharges and fixed assets
• Reconciliation of key monthly balance sheet accounts
• Attend monthly budget and forecast meetings

Candidate requirements

• Qualified Accounting with a minimum of 1 years post qualified experience (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or international equivalent)
• SAP experience is essential
• Proven experience of managing a team
• Experience of working closely with non-finance business stakeholders and ability to build effective working relationships across the organisation
• Ability to lead and drive productive meetings
• Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal)
• Ability to work within a time pressured environment
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to produce monthly reports
• Be immediately available or have a maximum of a one week notice period
