Accountant

My client a specialist investment company are looking for an accountant to join their growing finance team in the city of London. You will be responsible for the recording and analyses of the accounting and financial activities to support the preparation of the consolidated financial statements, reported in accordance and compliance with local and international accounting standards.

The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years relevant experience in accounting or audit in a large international organization with exposure to general ledger entries and management reporting studying towards ACCA or CIMA qualification.

This is a fantastic opportunity for any part qualified accountant who has the ambition to become a Financial controller, Financial Director or CFO in the future as this is a very broad accountant role key responsibilities consist of :

• Running the accounting and reporting cycle on a monthly basis.
• Accounts payable
• Preparing monthly payroll Bank reconciliation
• Prepayment and receivables
• Reconciliation of intercompany transactions
• Production of trial balance
• Production of management accounts for group consolidation
• Reviews and processes financial activities for company and closes their books.
• Maintains accounting records of company's records all transaction in ERP, obtaining approvals for all payments as per Authority Matrix
• Supports the preparation of companies consolidated financials and the production of the company's annual and interim statutory financial statements
• Checks and prepares consolidation entries and analyses consolidation balances and preparing balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintains an efficient closing / consolidation process which meets the reporting needs of all organizational levels and prepares the month-end and budget consolidation reporting for compliance purposes and ensures on time & accurate reporting to companies
