The Financial Controller will report to the CFO and be responsible for all the day to day operations of the finance team of four. This broad role covers the entire remit of finance including consolidations, management accounting, budgeting and forecasting, board pack production, payroll, cashflow forecasting and tax. You will be hands on and have excellent attention to detail but also be able to commercially deep dive into the numbers identifying anomalies, risks and opportunities. As an experienced business partner you will respond to and anticipate the reporting requirements in a PE environment as well as leading on all bank and treasury management including covenant and cashflow reporting.
The Financial Controller will support the CFO with potential M&A activity, develop working relationships across all functions of the business and be able to improve processes, gaining efficiencies across the business.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience of managing a finance function within a PE backed commercial business. Technically strong you will be a pragmatic problem solver, be able to motivate a team and be highly adaptable. A working knowledge of Microsoft NAV/BC365 would be advantageous.
