Tax Director (designate)

My client is a very successful small to medium sized accounting practice based in the South Gloucestershire area.  Due to a recent retirement an excellent opportunity has arisen to take over the running of an existing small, well-regarded tax team.  You will be able to pick up where the previous incumbent left off with a proper handover and put your own stamp on it as you develop and grow the function for the future.

Salary is dependent on experience and what you bring.  For the right individual there's clear "line of sight" to the full Director position including equity participation.

To be viable, you will combine a very broad based of tax expertise rather than simply be a specialist in any one area with a collaborative, hands-on approach and an ambition and energy to grow and enhance the function.  You will likely be CTA qualified.

Principal responsibilities include the following:

• Leadership of the tax function
• Provision of a range of tax planning advice
• Oversight and direct involvement in Personal and Corporation tax matters
• Representing the company in seminars / briefings
• Primary interface with HMRC
• Key member of the management team
• Continually promoting the profile of company externally
