Description
Key responsibilities in the Farnborough based FP&A Manager role include:
- Check the assumptions and assess the profitability of new project proposals from the businesses
- Helping the businesses to improve the quality of the monthly management accounts and analysis reports, and to make use of Group finance and information systems to improve the efficiency of management reporting
- Leading all annual and strategic financial planning activities
- Leading the delivery of robust financial analysis (in partnership with the Operations department) to challenge business performance and drive profitability
- Building a true finance business partnering relationship with all areas of the business
- Leading the ongoing development of customer and project profitability analysis
- Continually evolving the reporting of business performance to reflect changes in the business environment
- Building and then driving FP&A team performance across the group, ensuring activities are prioritised with a focus on critical issues
- Providing ad-hoc support to the Group FC and the Executive and wider business as required
- Building relationships and developing the trust of the internal and external customers.
- Supporting Operations in all aspects of employee related budgets and headcount plans ensuring balance between cost efficiencies and work requirements
- Accountable for the control of agreed budgets
- Maintaining a high level of service focus, ensuring company behaviours are adopted and supported at all times.
- Keeping abreast of market conditions and specific industry and organisational changes
Profile
To be considered you will be:
- Finance professional with a proven track record in FP&A
- Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills combined with a strong commercial acumen
- Ability to build strong working relationships with the business
- Excellent communication skills
- Confident, with the ability to influence and constructively challenge the business
- Ability to adapt and work within a challenging and changing environment, whilst maintaining financial rigour
- High level of energy and drive
- Degree educated or equivalent
- Qualified accountant
Job Offer
Salary to £70,000 plus package
