Job description:

Capita is currently undergoing a huge transformation programme to simplify and strengthen its business. As part of that transformation it is imperative that the finance team is able to maintain robust business as usual reporting during this time and be in a position to implement any changes arising from the transformation activity.

This role will report to the Senior Finance Manager of WAN (a business unit within Capita Network Solutions ("CNS") division of Capita) and will be involved in managing the monthly financial reporting for key customer accounts, engaging with both finance and non-finance stakeholders internally and externally. This is largely a business facing role and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in other transformation aspects of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Day to day financial support to the WAN business
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes within the WAN business
• Weekly & monthly project reporting
  • Working with operational stakeholders to review performance and costs to complete
  • Delivering scheduled and ad-hoc reporting to tight deadlines
  • Attending stakeholder meetings where required (internal & external)
  • Initial risk management review (contracts, governance)
  • Monitoring and review of financial controls
  • Support working capital management of projects (book to bill)
  • Support systems implementation project
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as required

Required skills/experience:

• Qualified Accountant (required)
• Finance experience within projects environment (required)
• Advanced excel skills (required)
• Able to use initiative, and advice of others, to identify new solutions (required)
• Ability to manage own workload and prioritise effectively (required)
• Budgeting & forecasting (desirable)
• Knowledge of pricing models & financial modelling (desirable)
• Understanding of IFRS 15 (desirable)
