The Role

Having experienced 50% year on year growth and a 200% increase in their customer base, my Fintech client are looking for a Management Accountant to join their dynamic team in a newly created role. Guidance and support will be provided to encourage personal development, granting the Management Accountant the skills to become a future Financial Controller in a PE backed business.

Having received Private Equity funding, the growth of this digital platform has accelerated, and this unique opportunity will give the Management Accountant exposure to the investors. The Management Accountant will report directly to the Financial Controller with regular interaction with the CEO and CFO. As the business looks to transact over the next 12 to 18 months, this offers a unique experience for this individual to be involved in the due diligence process.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant role include:

• Taking full responsibility for producing the P&L, board pack and KPIs
• Providing exposure to the treasury and statutory requirements needed within a Financial Controller role.
• Business Partnering with the Operations and Marketing teams to regularly review financial performance across the business and monitor budgets.
• Participating in project work, including creating and analysing financial models for new investments and contracts, as well as suggesting ways to improve the board pack.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal Management Accountant will:

• Be a CIMA/ACCA Qualified accountant
• Show excellent commercial acumen and exceptional attention to detail
• Be a hard-working individual with the ability to learn things quickly and strive for improvement, which will allow the opportunity to evolve alongside the business’ continued growth.
• Have ambition and drive
• Previous experience working in financial services would be beneficial
