Real Estate Analyst - Private Equity - London - OUR CLIENT is the successful fund management arm of a property company who require a Junior Analyst/Financial Modeller to join their Real Estate finance team.
THE ROLE - The Analyst role is predominantly a reporting, review and back office role working closely as link with the finance department and the fund / development and asset management teams. It will primarily consist of:
- Updating the project appraisals that are run for each project - on a minimum of a quarterly basis.
- Stress testing them for different exit scenarios and financing structures (there are a number of live projects of varying complexity, all property based). These appraisals tie directly into the underlying financial statements either produced in house or by JV partners (so a basic understanding of accounts will be helpful).

- Assessing the impact of these appraisals on a consolidated 'Fund level' basis and modelling the equity requirements, exit returns, cash flow implications etc. of the Funds.
- In addition to this, there will be equity drawdowns from investors, production of quarterly investor reports (derived from the appraisals) and ad hoc investor returns.
- Completion of investor equity call and distribution requests.
- Production of investor returns.
- Additionally, there will be other ad hoc work to carry out, especially for corporate transactions etc.
THE PERSON: To apply, you will be a well-educated (numeric or real estate degree preferred as a minimum) candidate with above average Excel skills (able to produce cashflows) and strong communication and presentation skills. You will possess a 'can do' attitude and be a resourceful self-starter with an awareness of accounting / finance and ideally financial statements. You will possess commercial savvy, combined with between 6 to 18 months practical exposure to appraisals, reporting and analysis in a property / real estate environment.
