Finance Manager

An experienced Finance Manager is required for a growing service company based near Meadowhall, Sheffield. The Finance Manager will assist the Financial Controller in the preparation of a full range of finance activities and is responsible for duties for 2 separate companies

Overview of the role;

Prepare timely and robust consolidated monthly management accounts; forecasts and departmental contribution statements;

Prepare budget holder reports and hold budget holder meetings on a monthly basis;

Identify the key variances, to identify trends and report on variances to forecast/budget and deal with queries;

Review and manage the monthly payroll and pay HMRC returns;

Prepare VAT & Statistical Returns;

Prepare in conjunction with the Financial Controller the statutory accounts including working papers and supporting documentation

Liason with auditors

Maintain internal financial controls and policies

Management and development of 4 members of the finance team

Develop process improvement and drive effectiveness and efficiency

Review and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and manage balance sheet processes

Cashflow management and forecasting

Maintain the Fixed Assets Register

Assist with the annual budget process working closing with budget managers

Overview of expectations;

Qualified or qualified by experience hard working individual, who can drive and motivate the team and demonstrate problems solving skills and the ability to manage under conflicting deadlines.  This is a hands on role with specific tasks as well as overall management responsibility.
