A highly acquisitive, Private Equity backed company based in Leicester, seek a Commercial Financial Analyst to join their finance team. The Commercial Financial Analyst will support the Group Financial Controller and CFO with modelling and analysis for the Group. This role sits within the Finance functions but operates across all areas of the Group and has extensive contact with the Private Equity owners.
You will be required to analyse and understand the various business units in the Group. You will build and develop financial models, manipulate large volumes of complex data, identify trends and profitability levers and play this back to the business in a way that is easily understood by all.
You will be expected to work in partnership with other finance colleagues and operational heads of business units.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Building financial and operational models for a variety of businesses in the group
- Modelling profitability optimisation
- Analysis/scenario modelling
- Liaising with Private Equity stakeholders
- Analysis for budget packs
- IT/Project business cases evaluation
- Improving reporting quality
- Pricing - modelling, analysis etc.
- Market analysis
- Business insight support
Candidate profile:
Candidates with demonstrable financial modelling experience will be considered. This could have been gained from the Transaction Services, Corporate Finance or Business Restructuring teams in a Big 4 firm. Alternatively, candidates with strong financial modelling experience gained in industry will equally be considered. A formal qualification is not necessary however, you will need to be degree educated and numerate. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, MBA or CFA are all deemed as desirable qualifications.
