Finance Director

Growing, independent Digital Agency based in Brighton are looking for their first full time Finance Director. You'll lead the general accounting function, managing the day-to-day work, providing guidance and coaching to the bookkeeper, working closely with Sales and Operations and oversee the monthly accounting close. In addition, you'll be a finance partner to the owners and directors within the business, advising on the strategy of the business and helping him achieve the company's growth plans.

The role:

• Partner leadership team, advising on strategic direction, financial management and building the culture of the agency.
• Presenting analytical and insightful reports to the management team highlighting the agency's performance.
• Manage and review work of Bookkeper
• Full control of expenditure.
• Raising the commercial agenda in a creative agency.
• Establishing pricing strategies and remuneration models.
• Preparation of client fee proposals and negotiation of fees with procurement.
• Preparation and negotiation of client contracts.
• Cash flow forecasting and management.
• Responsible for payroll including year-end returns.
• Year-end audit including dealing with US versus UK GAAP compliance issues.

The person:

• Experienced FD/Head of Finance - ideally from an Agency background.
• Commercially minded and entrepeneurial
• Flexible and hands on attitude
