Management Accountant

Management Accountant required for a leading freight and retail business in Solihull.

Hays are delighted to be recruiting for an internationally well known retail services organisation with excellent transport links near Solihull and Birmingham. The company are continuing to grow and as such are looking to add to their team.

Your new role
As Management Accountant you will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts and quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and statutory accounts. You will assist with the budget holders in the monthly monitoring of income and costs against budgets and forecasts. Other duties will include supporting the management team in financial planning, assisting capital investment projects and to help evaluate and work on new contracts when required.

Other duties include production of information for auditors, banks, shareholders and other external bodies. You will also work as part of the larger finance team in identifying best practice and improving the overall operational excellent of the finance department.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal applicant will be a fully Qualified Accountant, (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with a solid understanding of Management Accounts. You will have excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail. You will be able to produce management accounts and reports, budgets and forecasts and be able to maintain financial models and database.
