Our client is a movement of people and organisations that strive to end poverty and inequality across the globe. They are a leader in community-led development and grassroots innovation and for over 40 years they have worked with frontline activists, community organisations and individuals to support people to gain control over their own lives. 

The organisation is going through an exciting period of growth and they are looking for a Compliance Support Manager to join them and provide guidance on donor compliance to their Global Operations Team.

The Benefits

- Salary of £33,520 - £36,620 per annum DOE

The Role

As the Compliance Support Manager, you’ll help to ensure that our client’s international programmes comply with donor requirements.

In this key role, you’ll provide guidance on active and pipeline grant portfolios in terms of financial, contractual and donor compliance requirements.

Supporting programmes across the grant management cycle, you will:

- Review contracts and help to adapt financial processes and procedures to ensure compliance with donor requirements

- Prepare, plan, implement and follow up on donor compliance reviews of specific grants

- Assist with due diligence assessments

- Lead the development of a hub of expertise in institutional funding, focusing on USAID, DFID and EU

- Review donor reporting and financial monitoring information

- Facilitate projects aimed at grant/finance management systems development and roll-out

About You

To be considered as the Compliance Support Manager, you will need:

- At least five years’ experience in donor compliance, particularly in risk mitigation and management, contracting and award management procedures

- Experience of influencing and delivering results cross-organisationally within a large, complex organisation

- The ability to challenge and negotiate assertively and co-operatively with senior staff

- A degree level qualification in a field relevant to humanitarian or development work

- The ability to travel overseas for up to 20% of your role (with a typical trip lasting 8 – 10 working days)

Fluency in Portuguese or French would be beneficial to your application.
