Reporting to the Controller, the Financial Accountant will be primarily responsible for delivering the accurate analysis and necessary financial reporting required to determine the operational performance of the organisation.

Financial Accountant Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing accounts and financial statements across a number of international entities in accordance with various legal requirements
  • Providing key stakeholders with astute, monthly reports and associated commentary/recommendations
  • Proactively identifying risks associated with fluctuating foreign exchange and international banking procedures
  • Resolving all technical accounting queries
  • Stringently monitoring working capital - identifying risks and opportunities
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Deputising for the Financial Controller by liaising with all necessary, external third party advisors
  • Assisting with the implementation of new accounting software
  • Duly completing all necessary tax returns
  • Delivering adhoc project work and associated process improvement related activity when required

The candidate:

  • Recently qualified or finalist level finance professional (ACA or ACCA)
  • Strong, previous technical accounting and reporting experience
  • Highly proficient with Excel and finance systems generally
  • Emotionally intelligent with first class communication skills both written and oral
  • Able to work self sufficiently whilst managing a busy, varied workload
  • Confident in working alongside and influencing senior stakeholders
