The Company

Based in their outstanding UK Head Office, my client is a diverse rapidly growing global wholesale and distribution business with operations around the globe and with very healthy projections.

The Role:

As Finance Business Partner, this role is to effectively support the Commercial Finance Manager with operational insight into consistent reporting, operational action identification & coordination on transport, Supply chain and stock to help improve company profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Support CFM in the strategy development and subsequent business delivery.
• Follow up Supply Chain financials and drive financial support for monthly control of SC and planning for future, this includes Transportation costs, logistics/delivery expenses and stock management
• Develop and produce weekly/monthly consistent reporting on these initiatives across the regions, to assess the profitability of each one and to input into the improvement of each one as required to increase company profitability.
• Support CFM in continuously identifying performance improvement initiatives and the development, implementation and monitoring of these plans
• Help resolve reporting issues and where necessary provide guidance on corrective operational actions
• Follow up the actions identified by CFM
• Day to day support for CFM on administration and other requirements (Capex, etc.)
• Actively support the commercial finance team during the budget and forecast process, monitor actively the KPIs across the regions
• Proactively tackle ad hoc company-wide projects / tasks which are allocated from time-to-time
• Communicate effectively with all other departments in order to articulate operational finance imperatives

Candidate Profile:

• A Qualified commercial accountant with a recognised professional qualification (ACA,ACCA,ACMA)
• Experience of working in a commercial environment within a large fast paced retail, logistics, supplychain or distribution business
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to produce and present financial/statistical data
• Working alongside non-financial people from all levels of the business
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables/vlookups etc) and competent user of other Microsoft Office packages including Access

Package Details:

• Basic Salary - £40,000- £48,000
• Bonus 10%
