Hamilton Woods Executive Search are looking to recruit a Senior Finance Business Partner for a global provider of supply solutions to a wide range of markets and customers based in Birmingham. As the Commercial Finance Manager, you will be reporting into the Commercial Finance Director and will provide financial support and critical analytical MI to your business area to ensure the organisation achieves the financial targets it has been set. You will also be responsible for managing relationships with both operations, finance, supply chain and marketing and will be extremely comfortable in all of these areas, building strong trusting relationships with your key stakeholders.

The Role:

• As the Commercial Finance Manager this role will provide variety and challenge and will be responsible for developing a clear and positive business partner output with Digital and Marketing stakeholders by providing clear visibility on financial performance in these areas and add insight / perspective to future priorities
• Ensuring delivery of Finance project activities to time and cost & working with any key stakeholder, building strong relationships
• Providing input and support to the UK credit team to ensure all financial aspects are catered for - this to include recommended approach with customer credit
• Leading the ongoing generation of and management to annual budgets and quarterly re-forecasts for Supply Chain and Digital & Marketing.
• Work closely with the UK Head of Financial Control, contributing, challenge and add-value to the formal business reviews.
• Overseeing Supply Chain financials and drive financial support for monthly control of SC and planning for future
• Develop and monitor the efficiency of transport and stock, lead the implementation of trackers and KPIs, drive activities to improve their performance
• Profitability analysis in conjunction with the FP&A team, being involved as required with any projects that impact your business area

The Candidate:

As the successful Commercial Finance Manager you will be:

• A Qualified accountant (ACA/ACMA/CIMA or equivalent) with over 5+ years post qualified experience
• Experience of working in large, multi-site organisation in a varied role and being able to successfully deal with ambiguity before bringing clarity
• Experience in successfully managing processes through a sustained period of change
• Good communication skills and the ability to produce and present financial/statistical data in a simple and understandable manner
• Able to show experience that has developed business acumen, practical business/customer approach and understanding of how the business makes decisions at all levels
• Ability to respond to changing business requirements
